Parlor Songs in search of popular American Song

Become a Sponsoring Member of Parlorsongs.org

We know that many of you are committed to the preservation of our musical heritage as we are. We also believe that you would like to support our efforts to continue to bring you the best on line resource about early American music.

We've long planned on having a a members structure that will allow you access to features that we believe will be well worth the annual fees we propose. More importantly, your donation will allow us to significantly expand our collection, add new features to the website and defray our operating expenses. Now we are able to implement a member program as we have reached permanent status as a public charity (see the bottom of the page for details). All member fees will be tax deductible (see below for more detail regarding IRS requirements) and will advance our mission and hopefully allow us to expand to provide even more information and services. Not only will you be able to know that your donation will help fund our continuing efforts but we also will offer the following new features, only for members:

Level 1, Musician

  • Free, downloads of PDF copies of featured scores each month for the year. You will be able to print professionally notated reproductions of these historic scores so that you can play them yourself at any time. That could amount to a huge savings to you for rare and out of print sheet music compared to commercial sheet music sellers per year!
Score reproductions include a scan of the original cover in full color (where color was used) thus allowing you to enjoy the original beautiful artwork along with the music. With a quality printer and photo quality paper, you can get framable quality prints for most covers.
  • Here are a few samples from some recent issues.

    PDF Score
    In A Monestery Garden

    (published 2007)

    PDF Score
    The Storm King

    (published 2006)

The PDF images may sometimes look odd with the Acrobat Reader depending on level of magnification you use, however they should print perfectly.

Your browser will probably automatically display the PDf image however if it does not, you may need the Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Each month we will post the current feature sheet music, in the case of months where no new feature is added, we will add 10 scores from previous issues.
